Process of Creating

Wow... I have been going non-stop for days. Writing, drawing, creating, compiling, researching, working, watching Olivia and in between all of that a little sleep.  This weekend I am taking a long awaited break by going to the lake and do nothing but lying on the blanket and possibly sleep.  At the very least I am reallygoing to relax and maybe ask Christie to do some of her Vibrational Sound healing on me for a change.

One of the nice things about having a healer as a partner is that we take turns working our magic on each other.  It is quite wonderful to be able to relax and have someone else take the healing reins for a little while.

Must rest now.  Have a wonderful rest of the week and I hope you check out the new FREE download. It is quite phenomenal!

Much Love,
Morgan

Nonsense Pure Nonsense

Sometimes I just want to write absolute nonsense. Do you ever feel like that? To be able to write whatever you want and it really doesn't matter anyway.

Okay... Yes... I am having trouble sleeping again. I really must get some more Lemon Balm. It helps me to relax so that I can sleep. I don't have this trouble often but lately with all of this creativity busting loose, that I don't even want to try and contain, it is making it difficult to sleep.

La la la la la... la la la la la... la la la la la la la... Oh sorry, went off in song for a moment. Do you know the song "Sing?" Every time I hear it in my head I actually hear the one that I heard as a child with the Spanish verses echoing the English. I must have heard it on Sesame Street. They always were great about showing diversity and still are. I have been seeing a lot of it lately with my granddaughter.

Music and dance, two of my favorite things... oh jeez, there goes another song in my head.

I must head off to bed. I have a lot of writing I am going to be doing tomorrow. I am writing a series of articles on how you can use the energies of Mercury Retrograde to your benefit. It has to do with working with shadow and all the different energies that are easier to handle if you learn how to dance with them. Lots of fun.

Much Love to you.

Mercury Retrograde

This is coming up very soon and many people only see this as a time of trouble. They are unable to see the opportunity it presents. It is a time to renew, reaffirm, re-energize, reanalyze and those are only a few of the possibilities. It actually can be a very empowering and creative time to explore shadow.

If you are on a transformational path this is a wonderful time to explore what is going on in your life and reassess the direction your healing journey is taking.

A time to rediscover and reevaluate. Does the direction still feel good to you?

Reclaim your inner power by creating a living ceremony.

Recheck your writing, your plans, your car, and remember that this is a time to reemphasize that complications and break downs happen when we aren't paying attention to our needs and the needs of the equipment that we use.

Reaffirm your commitments to yourself and others.

Reorganize and resupply at home and at work. Do you see how much fun this time can be if used wisely; staying conscious in the moment instead of sleep walking into a wall?

May you have many happy adventures during this Mercury Retrograde.

Journeying with Shadow

Everyday is a journey into Shadow for me.
It has become habit for me to stop and ask myself:

  • What am I feeling now?

  • What is it that I need to delve into today?
  • What is it that I need to do in this moment?

  • What am I not seeing that I need to?
  • What creation is pushing through to be birthed?

  • What old thoughts need to be recognized, forgiven, loved, and integrated?

  • What powerful healing needs to happen today in this moment?

  • What Blessings am I not seeing through the Shadows obscuring them?

You may use any of these questions to journal with and help you look at your Shadow. Enjoy your exploring and experiences.

That is what we are here for, experiencing in all aspects. If you are not trying new experiences, (from one a month to one a week) then you are probably walking in a fog, feeling numb and just trying to get through each day never really seeing anything.

I hope you decide to open your eyes, to experience all that you can experience. If we are not feeling, we are not living.

May Love find the darkest places within you, bringing them to light, allowing for deep healing and transformation.

Creativity and Shadow

I am having trouble sleeping because I have all of this creativity flying around in my head. I have more videos, articles, stories all pushing to come out. Oh and of course keeping this blog up to date.

Seriously sometimes I think I was living so long holding my finger in the dam that now that I have decided to remove it everything is just pouring out.

As long as I can stay on track and not let, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and email distract me I am being quite creatively productive. Unfortunately being on such intimate terms with Shadow, being obsessive flies into my face and says, "Oh come on, you know you want to look, it will only take a moment, just one look, what can it hurt?" Yeah Right!

I will be going to bed soon and the best thing I can do about my obsessive instigator is energy work.

Reiki and Karuna Ki are often my saving grace when my problematic traits begin to peak out. I recently downloaded (not from the Internet--from Spirit/Universe/God/My Muse) a new energy clearing combination that I am quite excited about. It goes directly to where a problem began, breaks it up with love, heals the emotional residue, sends love to complete the healing, then grounds it in completion. I love it and it is quite effective. I already have seen promising results the few times that I have used it so far.

I will share the process in detail very soon.

With much love and peaceful thoughts, I bid you a restful Goodnight.

Digging in the Shadows to Find the Gold

I am mining in the darkness to uncover/discover the gold within the shadow today. Some may say, "What the heck does that mean?" well it means I am looking at what isn't said, what people hold back, what has been suppressed.

My voice was suppressed as a child. Somewhere along the way I regained it but as a child I was afraid to speak. I was afraid of many things; getting in trouble, looking stupid, what was in the dark, what was under my bed, what may peer back at me through my window at night, the kids at school, and I was afraid I would always be sad.

Here I am 35 to 40 years later asking where is the gold within those experiences? Where is the gold in the sadness? Where is the gold of being afraid? Or where is the gold that was suppressed because I was afraid?

It is in the music I play with my native flute. It is in my drawings that are becoming more wild and bold. It is in my writing that will not be suppressed. It is in my voice for I will never be silent again. It is the juiciness that I discover every single day that I am willing to look into those dark places to see what I have forgotten that I used to love, that I used to be good at, that I used to dream of. It is the creativity of a life well lived with authentic purpose.

Delve deep. Discover/uncover for yourself what is waiting in the shadows. It isn't all darkness. There is gold to be found. There is your authentic soul to be remembered.

A Shadowy Day

Last night went really well with the Clutterologist. I of course couldn't stand it and had to clean all day yesterday so the place looked fairly well when she showed up. Exhausted but happy with the outcome I was very much looking forward to my one of two days that I get to have to myself in the morning to work on my writing and my next video.

Then Christie reminded me that Tuesday was the day she and I have to get up early and go to an appointment that I had completely forgotten about. Okay, I think, no problem I can still have my afternoon to write and work on creating another video (I just finished a Priestess Process video).

We didn't get home until 2:30 p.m. No problem, I have three and a half hours until Elizabeth has to go to work and my shift with Olivia begins. Christie grabs the good laptop because it was too late for her to go back to work. Alright... I will just work on my writing and later work on my next video. Elizabeth knocks on the door, "Mom my head is killing me and I really need to Lie down, can you watch Olivia for me?" Puffing out a long breath I realize today is going to be a total loss in regards to work.

Olivia has chosen today to be one of her, "Everything is frustrating me so I am going to have a tantrum every other minute." days.

It reminds me of the ol' days commercial, "Calgon take me away." I don't have time for that today either.

Meanwhile Christie has left for her workout appointment and Elizabeth is moments away from leaving for work and I am racing to get this blog post completed.

Now I am feeling moopy. It is a combination of moody and mope. As I hear my daughter getting ready to go out the door, I realize I can go turn on my fast, fun music that Olivia will love too and we can both dance out our frustrations together. As I let out another long breath, there is always Thursday.

Who is Mud Woman

She is the Earthy Wild Woman

She is who we are without language

She is that part of us that eats food with our hands and plays in the dirt

She is total and complete feeling

She is Wild and untamable

She doesn't know how to be anything but who she is

She is the essence of our most basic selves

She is the primal sounds that come from deep within

She is the moist earth from which wonderful creations grow

She is the wild and creative juiciness that lives within each of us

She is Primal Mud Woman

Looking into the Shadow

A couple of years ago I kept hearing that I needed to explore and integrate my shadow. I had no clue what that really meant. I went in search through books and the internet to discover what I could. I found this great piece "The Long Bag We Drag Behind Us" by Robert Bly (A Little Book on the Shadow p.17-21). This is a small bit from that piece,

"Let’s talk about the personal shadow first. When we were one or two years old we had what we might visualize as a 360-degree personality. Energy radiated out from all parts of our body and all parts of our psyche. A child running is a living globe of energy. We had a ball of energy, all right; but one day we noticed that our parents didn’t like certain parts of that ball. They said things like: “Can’t you be still?” Or “It isn’t nice to try and kill your brother.” Behind us we have an invisible bag, and the part of us our parents don’t like, we, to keep our parents’ love, put in the bag. By the time we go to school our bag is quite large. Then our teachers have their say: “Good children don’t get angry over such little things.” So we take our anger and put it in the bag. By the time my brother and I were twelve in Madison, Minnesota we were known as “the nice Bly boys.” Our bags were already a mile long."

I discovered excavating my shadow didn't just mean looking at the things I don't like about myself, but at things I had "put in the bag" because it made other people uncomfortable such as my creativity. I have pulled my creativity out of the bag. I now lovingly and playfully explore creativity through art, beads, yarn, fabric, collaging, and just about anything I can try. I am so glad I dared to look into the shadow.

May you journey into your shadow with courage and rejoice at your integration.
